Be one of the first 100 students preparing with Departi
Between enrollment and arrival, there's a precious window. Most students let it pass.
The period between buying your exchange and boarding is the best preparation opportunity you'll ever have — and it usually goes to waste. Departi turns that wait into an advantage.

Frequently asked questions
Is Departi free?
The essentials are free: you learn English in the Journey, take your first placement test, practise conversation within the daily quota, and get destination guides, the checklist and community — no credit card, no subscription. There are daily limits (the Journey's lives) and premium features unlocked by the Ticket. But you never have to pay to genuinely prepare.
What are lives (hearts)?
Lives are the Journey's daily limit: you start with 5 and lose one for each wrong answer in a lesson — and they refill on their own (1 every 8 hours). With the Ticket, you practise without that limit.
What is the Ticket?
It's a one-time purchase that unlocks every premium feature for 12 months — no subscription. You can pay by PIX or by card, both R$296.99, in a single payment. The essentials stay free forever; the Ticket is for when you want to accelerate and use everything without limits.
What does the Ticket unlock?
The Ticket unlocks the premium features: unlimited Simulation conversations, the full lesson library, detailed speaking analysis, generating and adjusting your CV, the cover letter, retaking the placement test and the full hub. Your first placement test, the Journey lessons and the daily conversation quota are always free.
Is Departi only for improving English?
No. English is an important part, but Departi prepares you for the exchange as a whole. That includes understanding how the city works, the school, transport, the healthcare system, opening a bank account, finding accommodation and connecting with other students heading to the same destination around the same time. The goal is to make your first day feel familiar, not chaotic.
I don't have time to prepare before I travel.
You don't need hours every day. Twenty minutes a few times a week already builds real progress. The platform adapts to whatever pace you set and automatically prioritises what's most urgent given your departure date.
My English is already good enough.
Great — the placement test will confirm that and your public profile will show your school. But Departi goes beyond English: you'll arrive knowing how to pay for the bus, what to expect from your school routine, how the healthcare system works abroad and much more. Advanced English in the classroom is different from knowing how to live in Dublin.
I'll learn all this when I get there.
The first weeks abroad are intense — new city, new school, new people, the language all the time. Students who arrive with context absorb things much faster and enjoy themselves more from day one. Departi exists so you don't waste that valuable time discovering the basics when you could already be living the exchange for real.
Why is it worth the investment?
Your course, flight and proof of funds for the exchange already add up to more than R$55,000 (on average). The Ticket is a one-time R$296.99 payment — less than 0.6% of that investment — so you don't arrive unprepared.
